About The Position

The Golf Shop Assistant assists Golf Professionals in the Golf Shop and Outside Operations, providing high-quality customer service and keeping the golf shop appealing. The role supports resort guests and golf operations, including a 36-hole course and practice facility.

Requirements

• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language or languages used in the workplace.
• Ability to read and write to facilitate communication.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic computational ability.
• Thorough understanding of course rotation and tee-time arrangements.
• Computer skills, including Microsoft Office 97, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to reach other hotel departments in a timely manner.
• Ability to grasp, write, stand, sit, walk, perform repetitive motions, listen, hear, and maintain visual acuity.
• Ability to work in a standing and mobile position for long periods.
• Ability to communicate continuously with guests, supervisors, and other employees through talking and hearing.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers enthusiastically, by name when possible, and maintain appropriate conduct in accordance with Omni Hotels standards.
• Provide professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required.
• Perform sales, rental, tournament, golf league, and service duties assigned by the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, or Assistant Professionals.
• Book starting-time reservations and handle player registration.
• Promote the resort’s interests by providing service to guests and answering questions related to the resort.
• Assist with presenting and maintaining the golf shop.
• Assist the Merchandise Manager with inventory counts.
• Maintain and balance the daily cash register.
• Provide a customer-friendly environment.
