About The Position

Under the close supervision of the Golf Course Division Manager and/or Clubhouse Manger, performs skilled work pertaining to pro shop starter, cart maintenance, and range work.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Requires either two years of golf experience or closely related field or one year of experience with River Oaks Golf Course.
• Must be at least 16 years old to apply.
• Requires a valid Learner’s Permit or valid Utah Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of effective customer service practices.
• Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, vocabulary, and arithmetic.
• Knowledge of clerical and general office practices, procedures, and equipment.
• Knowledge of office management.
• Knowledge of basic accounting.
• Knowledge of data entry and word processor.
• Knowledge of effective filing procedures.
• Knowledge of tools, machines, and equipment used in the maintenance of golf course facilities and equipment.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
• Knowledge of general maintenance practice and procedures.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Must pass drug test before hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs skilled work pertaining to pro shop starter, cart maintenance, and range work.
• Communicates and works effectively verbally and in writing.
• Handles frequent contacts with the public (customers) requiring tact and judgment to avoid customer dissatisfaction.
• Maintains care, condition, and use of materials, equipment, and tools.
• Informs Clubhouse Manager of problems that could restrict or deny golf course use.
