About The Position
Des Moines Prep is seeking a dedicated and passionate founding Golf Coach to build and lead the program. This role involves establishing team culture, designing training programs, and inspiring a combined girls and boys roster. The coach will lay the foundation for a varsity program, setting standards and traditions. The ideal candidate will have coaching or competitive golf experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to youth development. This is a part-time role with after-school practices, tournament coordination, and on-course coaching.

- Previous coaching experience (especially golf teams)
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a comprehensive golf training program
- Organize and lead practices, range sessions, on-course playing opportunities, and team events
- Build a positive and inclusive team culture aligned with school values and the traditions of the game
- Coordinate logistics for tournaments, transportation, tee times, equipment, and registration with golf associations
- Communicate regularly with student-athletes, families, and school staff about tournament schedules, expectations, and player development
- Ensure student-athletes meet eligibility requirements and maintain academic expectations
- Build relationships with local golf courses and driving ranges to secure practice facilities and playing opportunities
- Attend required coaching trainings, meetings, and any relevant golf association certifications or clinics
