About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and developing teams, driving financial performance and sales, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role involves coaching associates, managing customer service initiatives, overseeing merchandise presentation and inventory, and developing action plans to achieve sales and profit goals. It also includes providing supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates, fostering a culture of belonging, and upholding company values and ethical standards.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year supervisory experience.
  • For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state-specific requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit Loss statements.
  • Manages and assists in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses.
  • Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Assigns duties, sets clear expectations, provides associate recognition, and communicates expectations consistently and effectively.
  • Promotes a belonging mindset in the workplace and recruits and develops qualified associates.
