About The Position

This position is responsible for leading and developing teams, driving financial performance and sales, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The role involves supervising and developing hourly associates, coordinating job-related activities, and upholding company values. The GM Coach will focus on creating a positive and productive work environment, serving customers effectively, and striving for excellence in all aspects of the job.

Requirements

  • 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing

Responsibilities

  • Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates.
  • Communicates and collaborates with all levels of associates regarding store operations, merchandising, and company direction.
  • Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards to store associates.
  • Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating Profit Loss statements and managing expenses.
  • Monitors and ensures effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes.
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, and mentoring.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures and supports company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.
  • Builds high-performing teams and creates a workplace where associates feel seen, supported, and connected through a culture of belonging.
  • Attracts and retains the best talent, empowers and develops talent, and recognizes others' contributions and accomplishments.
  • Maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.
  • Delivers results while putting the customer first and applies the EDLP and EDLC business models.
  • Makes decisions based on data insights and analysis, balancing short and long-term priorities.
