About The Position

As a Global Workplace Design Senior Manager, you’ll lead the global workplace design function within Global Real Estate (part of Workplace Experience), overseeing the development and governance of design principles, standards, and guidelines that enable consistent, high-quality environments across Capital Group’s global office portfolio. You’ll partner closely with Global Space Planning, Design & Construction leaders, Technology, Sourcing, and regional/site operations teams to ensure workplace designs support our culture, brand expression, sustainability goals, and evolving ways of working. You’ll also provide design leadership across the capital project lifecycle—translating business requirements into effective design outcomes, guiding design committees, and stewarding furniture standards and vendor programs at a global scale.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12+ years of deep expertise in architecture, interior design, and/or workplace strategy.
  • Experience managing the design process in capital projects within a global corporate setting.
  • Experience developing and managing global design guidelines that represent an organization’s workplace brand expression in the physical environment.
  • Champion sustainability, wellness and inclusivity, and incorporate these considerations into design guidance.
  • Subject matter expert in furniture specifications for the workplace and deep knowledge of the furniture industry.
  • Strong vendor and program management skills, including overseeing design consultants and suppliers, establishing furniture standards/specifications, and partnering with Sourcing on negotiations and global agreements.
  • Strong technology skills in AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and InDesign.
  • Strong advocate for technology integration in the Workplace and promote creative workplace designs that support digital collaboration, hybrid work, and evolving technology standards.
  • Collaborative leader and communicator who can translate strategy into action, coach and develop others, and model Capital Group’s core values while delivering excellent outcomes across regions, cultures, and regulatory environments.
  • Seek opportunities to cultivate meaningful professional relationships with key business partners, customers, and colleagues, both locally and across sites.
  • Passionate about creating a workplace where associates feel connected, supported, and able to do their best work.
  • Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design or similar field.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred professional certifications include RA / AIA, NCIDQ, LEED AP, and PMP.
