About The Position

Allyn International is seeking a Global Trade Project Specialist to join their Trade Department. This role involves assisting with managing SaaS development implementation, new software development projects, and onboarding new clients and brokers. The specialist will support the Global Trade Compliance Director with tasks such as marketing or business development, and provide support to the internal Trade Compliance team and external customers regarding CIMS software usage. The company is a privately held professional services firm established in 1992, offering services in transportation management, logistics sourcing, freight forwarding, supply chain consulting, tax management, and trade compliance operational support and consulting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or equivalent college degree required
  • Program and project management experience required
  • Ability to formulate and present high-level presentations and conduct training
  • Ability to lead global, cross-functional teams to achieve goals and objectives.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Access (advanced skills)

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects, create timelines, identify key tasks and required actions, maintain meeting schedules, and follow up with responsible parties to ensure tasks are completed.
  • Manage new SaaS development projects, including assisting with client sessions to understand needs, writing and submitting features to the Allyn IT development team, and assisting with testing new functionality.
  • Manage onboarding of new clients in CIMS, including identifying user access needs, setting audit logic parameters, submitting features to IT for new business creation, setting up audits, and creating new dashboards.
  • Manage onboarding of brokers into the CIMS system, including creating and maintaining an onboarding packet, setting up users, providing training on CIMS use, mapping data feeds, submitting features to IT for new business creation, and setting up FTP.
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Assist with business development, including identifying market opportunities, preparing presentations for potential clients, and preparing proposals.
  • Provide support to internal and external teams regarding bugs in CIMS software, including troubleshooting and following up with Allyn IT development team to resolve issues.
  • Meet regularly with the internal team to solicit feedback and ideas regarding bugs or suggestions for system improvement.
  • Support other projects and tasks as needed upon request from the Global Trade Compliance Director.
  • Run standard reports and metrics on a regular basis, analyzing and reviewing findings with Senior Global Trade Compliance Consultant and Global Trade Compliance Director.
  • Ensure client satisfaction.

  • Participate in writing publications and articles.
  • Assist Senior Global Trade Compliance Consultant and Global Trade Compliance Director in providing creative and informative content for corporate marketing campaigns.
