About The Position

The Global Technology Strategy team is an internal management consulting team that works closely with JPMorganChase Global Technology leadership, including CIOs, the CISO, the CTO, and other senior technology leaders. The team drives technology strategy, enables innovation, and addresses major technology problems across the firm. Its work includes problem sizing and solutioning, process reimagination, operating model and organizational design, and firmwide transformation, helping determine how technology can support the firm’s overall business strategy in areas such as AI and agentic systems, data strategy, technology infrastructure, line-of-business technology, and product development lifecycle.

As an Associate, you will help define and deconstruct technology problems and support projects addressing complex, cross-cutting, executive-level challenges. The role involves analyzing market, competitive, and technology trends; developing recommendations aligned with business goals and risk tolerance; collaborating with technology and business stakeholders to assess feasibility; and communicating findings through persuasive narratives and executive-grade deliverables. You will also support evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, especially AI and agentic systems, including their governance, risk, and operating model implications in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of strategy or diverse problem-solving experience, such as at a top management consulting firm or in generalist problem-solving environments across technology sectors.
• Undergraduate degree.
• Effective and confident oral and written communication across subject areas and organizational levels.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration, influencing stakeholders, and working with diverse teams at all organizational levels, including senior executives.
• Ability to work both in a team environment and independently.
• Excellent and efficient skills using MS Excel and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

• Working knowledge of or hands-on experience leveraging AI tools and agentic systems, such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot.
• Knowledge of enterprise technologies and trends, and ability to learn quickly as the technology landscape evolves.

Responsibilities

• Support projects resolving complex, cross-cutting, executive-level problems faced by the Global Technology organization.
• Structure ambiguous, open-ended problems into clear questions and hypotheses.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis of market, competitive, and technology trends to inform the firm’s strategic positioning.
• Provide recommendations to align technology with business goals and risk tolerance.
• Partner with technology and business stakeholders to determine whether recommendations are technically grounded and feasible.
• Turn analysis into clear, persuasive narratives that explain the implications and significance of the findings.
• Build executive-grade deliverables for technical and non-technical senior audiences.
• Support the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies, particularly AI and agentic systems, including governance, risk, and operating model implications in a regulated environment.
