The Global Supplier Manager is responsible for managing the relationship with assigned suppliers globally, aligned with the strategy for that supplier’s Category. This role involves setting performance objectives, defining improvement targets, and monitoring progress through supplier scorecards. The manager will prepare and lead periodic management reviews, identify and select project teams for supplier development, and ensure supplier capacity aligns with demand. Responsibilities also include preparing and managing negotiations, ensuring appropriate contracts are in place, and leading supplier risk assessments. A key aspect of the role is engaging with suppliers to ensure alignment with Schlumberger’s sustainability requirements, including human rights, local-content, and GHG footprint reduction. The manager will communicate supplier strategy and report deviations to plan, taking corrective actions. Opportunities to reduce waste will be identified and implemented. In some cases, the Supplier Manager may also directly manage Supplier Leaders or Supplier Specialists.
