About The Position

The Global Supplier Quality Manager is responsible for developing and executing Oliver's global supplier quality strategy, ensuring the quality, performance, and compliance of suppliers providing critical materials and services. The role leads supplier quality governance, supplier qualification, supplier change management, supplier risk management, and supplier performance improvement across Oliver's global supply base. This position partners closely with Procurement, R&D, Operations and other functions to establish a collaborative and risk-based approach to supplier management. The role leads the Global Supplier Quality team and is expected to build organizational capability and support Oliver's long-term growth objectives. This role serves as a key member of the Global Quality leadership team and is expected to provide strategic direction, executive-level reporting, and may provide a pathway for broader Quality leadership growth.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Quality, or related disciplines.
  • Proven experience leading supplier quality programs, supplier qualification activities, supplier audits, and supplier performance improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing teams, projects, or supplier organizations within a global environment.
  • Background in one of the following or related industries: flexible packaging, medical packaging, pharmaceutical packaging, films, laminates, coatings, nonwovens, or related manufacturing industries printing (flexographic, rotogravure, or offset lithography).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of ISO 13485, ISO 11607, risk management, CAPA, and supplier change management processes strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Packaging, Materials Science, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical discipline.
  • Advanced degree and/or ASQ certification preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Supplier Development, Manufacturing Quality, or related disciplines.
  • Strategic leadership and organizational development capability.
  • Strong influencing, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to balance technical, quality, regulatory, and business considerations in decision making.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute Oliver's global supplier quality strategy, objectives, metrics, and improvement roadmap.
  • Establish and maintain global supplier quality processes, standards, and governance systems.
  • Provide supplier quality performance reporting, risk visibility, and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Own supplier qualification, supplier approval, and supplier monitoring processes across the global supply base.
  • Establish and govern robust supplier quality agreements, material specifications, and raw material qualification processes.
  • Partner with Procurement and R&D to align supplier quality risk, supplier performance, sourcing decisions, escalation strategies, and supplier development priorities.
  • Own Oliver's global supplier change management process and supplier change governance activities.
  • Lead supplier-related risk assessments and ensure effective evaluation and implementation of supplier and material changes.
  • Support customer notifications and regulatory requirements associated with supplier-driven changes.
  • Establish supplier scorecards, performance metrics, and supplier review processes.
  • Lead improvement initiatives with critical and underperforming suppliers to improve quality, capability, and reliability.
  • Oversee supplier-related nonconformances, investigations, CAPAs, and escalation activities.
  • Lead the global supplier audit program and risk-based supplier assessment activities.
  • Drive supplier development initiatives focused on quality, process capability, compliance, and continuous improvement.
  • Build strong working relationships with strategic suppliers while maintaining appropriate quality oversight.
  • Lead, develop, and grow the Global Supplier Quality team while building future organizational capability.
  • Partner with Procurement, R&D, Manufacturing and other functions to drive effective supplier management and decision making.
  • Serve as a key member of the Global Quality leadership team and contribute to broader Quality and business initiatives.
