As we scale across the world’s largest markets, we are building a global commercial organization that acquires, incubates, and grows high-potential sellers into category leaders. To support this next phase of growth, we are hiring a Global Lead, Strategy & Operations to help design and orchestrate the operating model that powers seller success at scale. This leader will sit at the center of the team responsible for bringing the right supply to eBay Live, partnering closely with Business Development, Onboarding, Seller Growth, Category Leadership, Customer Support, Product, and Market teams. You will translate strategy into execution, building the systems, governance, performance frameworks, and cross-functional alignment required to scale Live commerce globally.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in strategy, operations, consulting, or commercial leadership roles
  • Experience designing and scaling global operating models
  • Strong executive presence and cross-functional influence
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex strategy into structured execution
  • Analytical rigor with experience building performance frameworks and capacity plans
  • Experience operating in fast-moving, matrixed environments

Nice To Haves

  • Background in marketplace, ecommerce, or livestream commerce
  • Experience supporting global or multi-regional teams
  • Experience in sales operations, commercial transformation, or high-growth environments

Responsibilities

  • Build and evolve a tiered seller service model that differentiates between strategic anchor sellers, growth-stage sellers, and self-serve participants
  • Define clear qualification thresholds, graduation logic, and performance standards
  • Establish scalable workflows for seller acquisition, onboarding, activation, and long-term growth
  • Introduce structured governance for process design and tool prioritization
  • Act as the primary integrator across commercial, category, product, customer support, and regional market teams
  • Align seller supply with category strategy and key seasonal or event-based moments
  • Proactively manage trade-offs, resource allocation, and cross-regional coordination
  • Provide clear visibility to senior leadership on risks, dependencies, and progress
  • Define and implement key performance metrics such as: lead velocity, time to first live event, weekly content hours by category, revenue per hour streamed, seller retention
  • Establish regular performance cadences and dashboards
  • Use data to drive prioritization and continuous improvement
  • Partner with finance and leadership on headcount modeling and resource allocation
  • Balance strategic seller coverage with scalable support models
  • Reduce operational friction by simplifying meetings, clarifying roles, and eliminating duplication
  • Support leadership communication and change management efforts
