Global Marketing Director, Oncology

Amgen•Thousand Oaks, CA

About The Position

The Global Marketing Director is a strategic thought partner to brand and cross-functional teams, independently owning the integrated insight agenda for a pipeline asset, brand, or disease area. The role generates business-relevant insights that shape global commercialization planning, brand strategy, lifecycle management, and critical decisions, with significant impact on product strategy and execution throughout the product lifecycle. For peri-launch products, including IMDELLTRA® (tarlatamab), the role maximizes asset value across key indications by providing commercial guidance and vision, developing global launch strategies, identifying lifecycle-management opportunities, enhancing the customer experience and competitive position, and optimizing marketing budgets. For IMDELLTRA®, which is being developed for extensive- and limited-stage small-cell lung cancer, the director provides commercial leadership to the development organization so the compound is developed with the future market in mind and in parallel with late-stage indications. The role works with oncology leaders to incorporate insights from marketed thoracic oncology products and other peri-launch assets into IMDELLTRA®’s commercial strategy, and collaborates with the integrated brand team and selected local-country brand working groups to incorporate local insights and support Global-with-Local engagements and launch readiness plans. The role reports to the Executive Director and Global Marketing Lead for IMDELLTRA®. Amgen describes its culture as collaborative, innovative, and science based, and its mission as serving patients living with serious illnesses. The company offers competitive benefits, a collaborative culture, and support for professional and personal growth and well-being. Flexible work models, including remote and hybrid arrangements, may be available where possible.
