About The Position

We are seeking a Global Manager, Sales Engineering to lead the technical sales strategy supporting Photronics’ photomask solutions across global semiconductor markets. This role oversees a team of Sales Engineers and serves as a key technical liaison between customers and internal engineering, manufacturing, and commercial teams. The position is responsible for driving revenue growth by ensuring effective technical engagement with customers, developing innovative photomask solutions, translating complex device requirements into manufacturable photomask solutions. This leader partners with regional sales teams, engineering, and operations to support strategic customer accounts, develop technical service capabilities, and align Photronics’ technology roadmap with evolving customer and market requirements. Location Boise, Idaho (US). This is an on-site position supporting customers and internal manufacturing teams.

Requirements

  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes, photomask technology, and semiconductor device requirements.
  • Strong leadership capability with experience guiding technical teams in a customer-facing environment.
  • Ability to translate complex semiconductor device requirements into manufacturable photomask solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide complex technical challenges.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to engineering, commercial, and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams.
  • Strong presentation, negotiation, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to support strategic account development and align Photronics capabilities with customer technology roadmaps.
  • Proficiency working with CRM systems and managing customer engagement data.
  • 8–12 years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing, photomasks, lithography, process engineering, applications engineering, or technical sales.
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring technical sales or applications teams.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor fabs, IDMs, foundries, or semiconductor equipment manufacturers.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related technical field required.

  • Experience supporting global or multinational semiconductor customers preferred.
  • Advanced degree preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the global Sales Engineering function, providing technical leadership, coaching, and direction to Sales Engineers supporting regional and global accounts.
  • Partner with regional sales leadership to support strategic account planning, major customer engagements, and complex technical sales opportunities.
  • Contribute to Photronics’ global growth objectives through strong customer relationships and technical solution development.
  • Serve as the senior technical advisor for key semiconductor customers, supporting complex technical discussions, solution development, and strategic customer relationships.
  • Guide customer engagements, ensuring a strong understanding of device requirements, process challenges, and Photronics’ photomask capabilities.
  • Represent Photronics in technical discussions with customer engineering and technical teams.
  • Oversee the development of technical proposals, solution strategies, and negotiations for major customer programs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and R&D teams to develop tailored photomask solutions that meet customer requirements and technical specifications.
  • Provide technical leadership for complex technical challenges including yield, manufacturability, and mask performance optimization.
  • Work closely with engineering, operations, program management, and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery of customer solutions.
  • Provide market and customer feedback to internal teams to inform technology development, manufacturing improvements, and product strategy.
  • Identify emerging customer requirements, technology trends, and industry needs to support Photronics’ long-term growth strategy.
  • Support global business development efforts including major customer engagements, industry conferences, and technical forums.
  • Monitor competitive landscape and industry developments to maintain Photronics’ competitive positioning.
