About The Position

The Global Logistics Intern supports supply chain coordination and logistics planning across international markets. The role helps track shipments, inventory levels, and delivery timelines; analyzes logistics data; assists with global trade compliance documentation; coordinates with vendors and carriers; and contributes to logistics process-improvement projects. The intern also prepares performance reports and presentations and supports the use of supply chain management software. The internship is for Summer 2027 and may be up to 40 hours per week. It is a hybrid role requiring availability in the greater Milwaukee area, a quiet workspace for remote work, and regular virtual contact with the supervisor and team. The intern must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Requirements

Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university.
Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, International Business, and/or Logistics Management.
Able to be in the greater Milwaukee area during the summer.
Able to maintain a quiet, interruption-free workspace and regular contact with the supervisor and team through virtual methods.
Authorized to work for any employer in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Track international shipments, inventory levels, and delivery timelines using supply chain and logistics software.
Support logistics planning with cross-functional teams to optimize transportation routes, reduce costs, and improve delivery efficiency.
Compile and analyze logistics data, such as shipping costs, delivery times, and inventory turnover, to identify trends and support decisions.
Assist with customs, global trade, import/export, tariff, and trade-agreement compliance and documentation in coordination with the trade compliance team.
Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, vendors, and carriers to manage schedules, confirm deliveries, resolve disruptions, and support on-time, cost-effective transportation.
Assist with logistics project management and process-improvement initiatives, including researching best practices and participating in team meetings.
Research alternative shipping methods, compare vendor rates, and propose strategies to reduce freight costs.
Prepare reports and presentations for management on logistics performance, operational efficiency, delivery times, shipping costs, and vendor performance.
Support the integration and use of supply chain management software tools.
