Global Hedge Product Management, Vice President

State Street•Boston, MA
•$110,000 - $188,750

About The Position

State Street is seeking a commercially minded Vice President to help shape and grow its Global Hedge offering. The position is part of Global Alternatives and has a particular focus on the North American market. It covers capabilities across front-office technology, middle-office services, fund administration, data, treasury, custody, and related services. The role works closely with clients and teams across Sales, Relationship Management, Operations, Technology, State Street Alpha, and other product groups to improve competitiveness and support sustainable growth. The Vice President helps define and execute product strategy and roadmaps, assesses hedge fund market developments and client needs, identifies product and platform gaps, and translates opportunities into prioritized requirements, business cases, and delivery plans. Responsibilities span the product lifecycle, from market assessment and concept development through implementation, commercialization, adoption, and ongoing enhancement. The role also supports new-business opportunities, renewals, client expansion, proposals, presentations, due diligence, pricing discussions, and go-to-market activity. The position engages directly with clients and prospects to understand their strategies, operating models, technology environments, and priorities. It translates client needs into product requirements and solution architectures, distinguishing bespoke requests from reusable platform opportunities. Internally, it connects Global Hedge to State Street's broader enterprise capabilities and coordinates with Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and client teams to develop commercially viable, scalable, and operationally deliverable solutions. The Vice President leads or contributes to priority initiatives, builds evidence-based business cases, defines success measures, manages risks and dependencies, and provides recommendations and updates to senior management. Success includes building credibility with leadership and North American stakeholders, taking ownership of commercially important initiatives, strengthening cross-functional collaboration, supporting client opportunities and pipeline conversion, and making visible progress against agreed growth, client, product, or scalability objectives. The role is suited to an independent, driven product leader who combines hedge fund and asset-servicing knowledge with commercial judgment, client orientation, enterprise thinking, and disciplined execution. A bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience is required; an advanced degree or relevant professional qualification is advantageous.
