About The Position

Women for Women International (WfWI) is seeking a specialist in data analysis and synthesis for a consultancy role. This role will support a new phase of work building on their 2024 global Women, Peace and Security (WPS) consultation. The consultant will analyze qualitative and quantitative data from stakeholder surveys, interviews, and focus groups across 13 countries. The goal is to synthesize complex information into actionable insights, identify key findings and trends, and produce clear summaries for various stakeholders. This evidence will inform advocacy priority-setting and the co-creation of advocacy roadmaps with partner organizations.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent specialized advanced university degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Public Policy, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in leading research, evaluation, or consultation processes, including data methodology and analysis, qualitative synthesis, and research reporting.
  • Extensive experience creating data collection tools and conducting qualitative and quantitative data analysis using Kobo Toolbox and Excel for quantitative survey data and other qualitative data analysis tools for focus group and interview data.
  • Experience producing concise and accessible learning outputs for various policy and donor stakeholders across the security, diplomacy, and humanitarian sectors.
  • Experience working with a high volume of sensitive data that contains mention of armed conflict and death, gender-based violence, human suffering, and human rights violations.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality work while meeting clear deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and high-quality documents, as well as facilitate sessions online.
  • Solid computer skills, including experience working with data analysis software, slide decks/visual presentation tools, Microsoft Word and Excel, and online video call platforms.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with team members from different backgrounds and cultures.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and timelines effectively.
  • Flexibility to work with information and iterative data inflow.
  • Respect for Confidentiality.

Nice To Haves

  • Fluency in French or Arabic.
  • Experience working with women’s rights organizations and in gender equality or women’s leadership programming.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of a detailed data collection plan and methodology for analysis.
  • Coordinate with partners to address unclear qualitative data.
  • Analyze and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data collected from 13 countries.
  • Draw out key findings and recommendations from the updated data, comparing it to 2024 data to identify trends organized by WPS pillar and by country.
  • Produce a written internal summary of key global findings and recommendations, as well as detailed breakdowns filtered by country context and key theme.
