About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Consultation Sales Attorney to join our team. This unique role combines legal expertise in the intersection of criminal and immigration law with a consultative sales approach. The ideal candidate will be responsible for consulting with potential clients and providing tailored legal recommendations. You will be expected to build strong client relationships, guide them through the complexities of their legal challenges, and convert consultations into long-term business engagements. This is a dynamic position requiring both legal acumen and a strong ability to drive business development. The ideal candidate would have a solid understanding of the legal industry, a knack for building relationships, and the ability to close deals based on legal services.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • State Bar Membership: Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction(s).
  • 3+ years of legal practice in both immigration law and criminal law.
  • Understanding of business needs and how legal services fit into broader organizational goals.
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Fluency in Spanish
  • Experience in a law firm or legal department, including business development and client interaction
  • Proven sales track record, with consultative sales skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Sales pipeline management experience
  • Goal-oriented and results-driven
  • Client-focused and committed to excellent service
  • Organized, with strong time-management skills
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and discretion

Responsibilities

  • Engage with prospective clients to understand their legal needs, challenges, and objectives.
  • Provide clear, actionable advice on potential legal service solutions.
  • Utilize your legal knowledge to assess client issues and recommend appropriate services, including immigration law (affirmative and defensive), criminal law, post-conviction relief, and immigration consequences analysis.
  • Stay informed and up-to-date on changes in the relevant law.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients.
  • Convert initial consultations into signed agreements and long-term partnerships.
  • Prepare customized legal service recommendations and presentations based on client requirements, addressing both complex legal considerations and cost-efficiency.
  • Work closely with the legal team to ensure client expectations are set clearly and can be met efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to generate leads and expand business.
  • Negotiate terms of service agreements with clients, ensuring clarity and mutual benefit while adhering to legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide ongoing client support by assisting them in hiring for next steps or additional services as needed, ensuring a high level of satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, new laws, and competitors’ offerings to provide clients with up-to-date, relevant advice.
