About The Position

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Global Benefits Management (GBM) Consulting team at Mercer located Grand Rapids, MI. This role will be based in a hybrid environment, requiring at least three days a week in the office. This role will partner with the Global Account Manager to manage client meetings and serve as a liaison between global client & local brokerage teams. The ideal candidate will assist global clients with monitoring their employee benefit programs around the world by managing and summarizing renewal progress and terms with a view to ensuring a level of governance and consistency with their objectives. The role involves developing a strong understanding of global health and welfare benefit products, services, technical tools, and vendor/carrier markets, providing renewal directions to local brokerage teams, and managing to project timelines. The position will also involve outlining data and reporting expectations within proprietary Global Benefits Management tools & platforms, and developing, peer reviewing, and transmitting client deliverables.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong project management skills
• Strong project management skills
• Strong domain knowledge and experience in benefits management preferred
• Strong oral and written communication & presentation skills
• Experience in client facing role

Nice To Haves

• Fluent in other languages and international experience, highly desired, but not required
• Project Management Certification desired, but not required

Responsibilities

• Managing and executing project deliverables for clients’ implementation, ongoing, and renewals.
• Tracking and reporting project status to brokers/clients and internal management teams, including the nature of local discussions impacting the insurance placement or plan design strategy.
• Serving as a liaison between local brokerage offices and global client.
• Process execution and ensuring all standard procedures and controls are being followed.
• Communicate with internal and external partners (consultants, brokers and clients).
