About The Position
The George Washington University Capital Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Glaucoma Ophthalmologist to join their academic ophthalmology program in Washington, DC. This role involves a blend of clinical practice, advanced glaucoma surgery, and educating residents and medical students. The position offers the opportunity to build a high-volume practice, perform cutting-edge procedures, and contribute to training future ophthalmologists in a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology
- Fellowship trained in Glaucoma
- Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia
Nice To Haves
- Experience and interest in academic settings are preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide glaucoma laser and incisional procedures and cataract surgeries to a diverse patient population.
- Educate medical students and ophthalmology residents through didactics and clinical/surgical encounters.
- Contribute to the coverage of the GW Hospital Emergency Department. This call is shared with other members and paid per night.
