About The Position
The George Washington University Capital Medical Group is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Comprehensive Ophthalmologist to join an academic ophthalmology program in Washington, DC. This role involves clinical care, cataract surgery, and teaching residents and medical students. The position requires managing a variety of ophthalmic conditions and contributing to comprehensive eye care services.
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Ophthalmology
- Eligible for licensure in the District of Columbia

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmology care including complex cataract surgeries to a diverse patient population.
- Educate medical students and ophthalmology residents through didactics and clinical/surgical encounters.
- Contribute to the coverage of the GW Hospital Emergency Department. This call is shared with the other members and paid per night.
