About The Position

The Giving Partnerships Director serves as a steward of the company’s philanthropic investments and transformational nonprofit relationships by listening to community needs, working directly with nonprofit leaders within an assigned region in the US or Europe. This role helps build community trust and engagement through the development and management of strategic partnerships with nonprofits that respond to key community needs and advance the company’s philanthropic giving priorities, including the co-development of programs with select nonprofit partners. This role partners closely with other Philanthropy team members to ensure that giving is impactful, inclusive, and reflective of community and business needs, as well as company core values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, public administration, business, social work, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • Five or more years of experience in a corporate philanthropy, foundation, grantmaking, nonprofit fundraising, community relations, or related professional environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing grant portfolios and/or large, complex strategic giving programs, including due diligence, compliance, and impact evaluation.
  • Experience in budget management and leadership of committees, boards, or volunteer teams.
  • Proficiency with MS365 and technology tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to executive audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience supporting a cross-functional or international team.
  • Proven ability to build and sustain relationships with diverse community stakeholders.

  • Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g. GPC, CNP, CFRE) a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist the team in building, communicating, and executing the corporate philanthropy strategy and framework.
  • Oversee a portfolio of nonprofit partner relationships, which could include market or corporate level relationships and partnership support.
  • Maintain a dynamic grants pipeline, flagging emerging opportunities and developing a plan to sunset inactive prospects based on strategic criteria.
  • Where needed, perform research to identify nonprofit partner organizations whose missions align with company priorities.
  • Respond to community inquiries and grant-related questions with professionalism and in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the management of corporate execution of strategic program development with nonprofit partners.
  • Work and coordinate cross-functionally with other internal teams, such as Legal, Finance, Investments, Community Engagement, Government Relations, Economic Development, Marketing, Events, Social Value, Sustainability, Development, and Global Care & Impact to contribute to a unified, aligned, and seamless experience for community partners and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate nonprofit site visits and needs assessments with existing and new partners and grantees to inform funding decisions.
  • Oversee all aspects of the grantmaking process for assigned markets or partnerships, including information requests, budget and grant approval, legal agreements, grant disbursements, tracking of partnership/grant/program progress and delivery, impact reports, and assessment of partnership outcomes and success.
  • Supervise event/program sponsorships to achieve optimum attendance/participation as well as ensuring all sponsorship requirements are met, such as collaboration with other teams (not limited to) marketing logos, ads, graphics, promotional items, etc.
  • Support governance of market giving committees; advise giving committees to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide giving strategies and annual budget allocations.
  • Ensure proper documentation and reporting of all nonprofit engagement and impact, including accurate and timely records of grants, contributions, and engagement activities in the grants management system.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date communication logs, grant files, contracts, and compliance documentation in accordance with internal policies and legal requirements.
  • Organize strategic volunteerism in emerging markets, as needed, to foster goodwill in new operational communities.
  • Assist in the development of quarterly and annual team impact metrics, narrative summaries, and budget reconciliation.
  • Ensure all grantmaking activities comply with applicable legal requirements, company policy, and IRS regulations governing corporate charitable contributions.
  • Identify and communicate data insights that improve program effectiveness and community outcomes.
  • Represent the company’s philanthropic mission at assigned nonprofit or community events.
  • Assist in policy and process development for Philanthropy.
  • Always maintain strict confidentiality of philanthropy information.
