About The Position

The Girls Assistant Basketball Coach carries out coaching duties for the girls basketball program. The role is temporary and seasonal, running from November 2, 2026, through February 13, 2027. The position pays $4,000 for the season.

Drew Athletics supports student-athletes in developing competition, athleticism, fitness, teamwork, confidence, leadership, and school spirit. Drew is a coeducational independent high school enrolling 300 students and competing in the Bay Area Conference as a member of the CIF and NCS.

Interested candidates should submit a cover letter and resume. Candidates must provide a thorough list of previous K-12 school and educational institution employers, including each employer’s city and state; Drew School will verify employment with those institutions. Requirements

• Valid California driver's license.
• Fingerprinting verification.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to become certified.
• ASEP or NFHS Coaching Certification, mandated by the state for high school coaches.
• Availability after school on weekdays between 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., and on weekends as scheduled.
• Submit a cover letter and resume.
• Provide a thorough list of all previous K-12 school and educational institution employers, including city and state.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and organize practice sessions.
• Develop individual skills required to play basketball.
• Develop team strategies and tactics.
• Attend all interscholastic competitions.
• Communicate with players, parents, and administration.
• Drive school vehicles.
• Mentor student-athletes and help them develop academically, physically, and socially.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Drew will coordinate ASEP or NFHS Coaching Certification for selected candidates who do not already have it.
