Assistant Coach Girls Basketball
About The Position
The Assistant Coach supports the head coach in the technical and tactical development of student athletes. The role develops athletes’ fundamental skills and understanding of the sport’s rules while helping maintain a safe, inclusive, high-performance environment where participants feel a sense of belonging. The assistant coach also helps with program-related tasks and logistics, completes required professional development and continuing education, and performs related duties as assigned. The season runs from November 16, 2026, to February 6, 2027. The position is seasonal and is not anticipated to qualify for benefits because it does not meet the stated hours or continuing-position eligibility requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
Nice To Haves
- Strong sport-specific knowledge and understanding of the sport being coached.
- Assistant coach or volunteer coach experience at the high school, middle school, or community level.
- Experience working in a collaborative setting.
