McMenamins Anderson School Market is hiring for Gift Shop Staff. This is a part-time, variable hour position up to 15 hours per week. McMenamins is a family-owned company in Oregon and Washington that serves handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits, and coffee alongside pub fare. Our locations range from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels, emphasizing community, art, history, music, food, drink, and fun. The primary duty of the Gift Shop Staff is to provide excellent customer service in the gift shop and maintain a pleasant atmosphere. Duties include greeting customers, assisting with questions, suggesting merchandise, making coffee and espresso drinks, operating the cash register, accurate cash handling, cleaning, stocking, processing freight, and opening/closing duties. Employees may also work in merchandise tents, complete physical inventory, and set up merchandise presentations. Staff will be trained on all McMenamins products and should be able to make recommendations. As the gift shop is near the central front desk, the position requires awareness of all property events and the ability to answer customer questions. This role demands mental agility and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Gift Shop Staff must work well independently and as part of a team.
