About The Position

Are you looking for a fun, rewarding job? The Akron Zoo has positions available within the Gift Shop department. Below is a brief description of what we currently have open and are hiring for: Requirements Gift Shop/Retail Operations: Team members will operate the cash register, stock, clean, maintain all retail areas, as well as help guests select products. Providing an excellent guest experience is essential to this position, as you are working one-on-one with our guests. Staff may be scheduled inside the gift shop or at our outside locations taking care of our mobility and rental guests. Staff will be working primarily on a station-based POS system but will be asked to work with various other technology pieces. This position requires standing for long periods of time, as well as lifting up to 50 lbs. at a time when merchandising product. Previous sales experience is a plus but not required.
