About The Position

The Akron Zoo has seasonal positions available within the Gift Shop department. Seasonal employees receive discounts, flexible schedules, and the chance to make a real-world difference. Team members earn $12.00 an hour. This role involves operating the cash register, stocking, cleaning, maintaining retail areas, and assisting guests with product selection. Providing an excellent guest experience is essential, as staff will work one-on-one with guests. Staff may be scheduled inside the gift shop or at outside locations assisting mobility and rental guests. The position requires working with a station-based POS system and other technology. Seasonal employment ends on December 31.

Requirements

• Standing for long periods of time
• Lifting up to 50 lbs. at a time when merchandising product

Nice To Haves

• Previous sales experience is a plus
