About The Position

We are seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Gift Shop Associate to join our team at our iconic 100+ year old restaurant. This position plays an important role in creating a welcoming experience for guests by assisting customers with retail purchases, maintaining an attractive shop environment, and representing the history and hospitality of our longstanding establishment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has strong attention to detail, and takes pride in providing exceptional customer service in a unique historic setting.

Requirements

Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Basic math and cash-handling abilities
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
Weekend and holiday availability required

Responsibilities

Greet guests warmly and provide excellent customer service
Assist customers with merchandise selection and purchases
Operate point-of-sale (POS) system and handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and visual presentation of the gift shop
Restock merchandise and monitor inventory levels
Answer guest questions about merchandise, restaurant history, and local attractions
Assist with receiving and pricing inventory shipments
Help promote seasonal merchandise and special events
Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude at all times
Work collaboratively with restaurant staff to ensure an outstanding guest experience
