About The Position

The Giblet Machine Operator sets up equipment according to packaging requirements and prepares products for further processing or packaging based on customer orders. The role uses ice and defrosting procedures to keep product temperatures within regulatory levels, ensures products are drained properly, and maintains sanitation. The operator must alert support personnel when product does not meet quality expectations and may assist in other areas as assigned. The position works nights, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., in potentially dusty, hot, and cold environments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to multitask and work quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to comprehend instructions and apply common sense.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work as a team player.
• Ability to work in dusty, hot, and cold environments.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Poultry, live animal, or manufacturing experience.
• Pallet jack experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up equipment as necessary based on packaging requirements.
• Use ice and defrosting procedures to ensure product temperatures meet regulatory levels.
• Notify support personnel when product does not meet quality expectations.
• Prepare products for further processing or packaging based on customer orders.
• Ensure products are drained properly, whether tanked, bagged, or placed in combo bins.
• Maintain operation sanitation.
• Assist in other areas as assigned.
• Perform other duties as required.
