About The Position
The GI Technician is responsible for ensuring the availability and proper functioning of endoscopic equipment, accessories, and supplies. The technician cleans and disinfects endoscopic equipment according to applicable standards and assists the physician and/or nurse with preparation, delivery of care, and recovery of Digestive Disease Center patients. The role works under the direction of an RN.
Requirements
- Applicable experience: less than 1 year.
- Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
Responsibilities
- Ensure endoscopic equipment, accessories, and supplies are available and functioning properly.
- Clean and disinfect endoscopic equipment according to standards.
- Assist the physician and/or nurse with patient preparation, delivery of care, and recovery for Digestive Disease Center patients.
