GI Technician
About The Position
USPI Memorial Hermann Surgery Center, Greater Heights, is seeking a motivated GI Technician to join its fast-paced ambulatory surgery center. The center is committed to providing high-quality work and experiences for patients and their families. Under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing, the role scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence as a member of the surgical team. The technician prepares and maintains supplies, instruments, and equipment related to procedures, supports the Surgery Center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals, and participates in quality improvement activities. The position is weekdays only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some later evenings are required.
Responsibilities
- Scrub for surgical procedures and function competently as a member of the surgical team.
- Prepare and maintain supplies, instruments, and equipment related to procedures.
- Support the Surgery Center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals.
- Support and participate in quality improvement activities.
