About The Position

WSP Canada is seeking a Project Manager – Renewable Energy to join its Energy Canada group. This team consists of over 300 experts across the country who assist clients in meeting the growing demand for green energy and reducing greenhouse gas emissions. As a project manager within the Renewable Energy team, you will collaborate closely with design teams and market leaders to direct and manage various projects and business opportunities for public and private clients. Reporting to the Project Management Discipline Lead, this position can be based in one of our offices in Montreal, Quebec, or Sherbrooke. This opportunity will allow you to develop your skills within one of the world's largest engineering firms, in a flexible environment offering competitive benefits and compensation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the renewable energy market.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in engineering project management.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Bilingualism is required as the individual will participate in national initiatives requiring communication with English and French-speaking colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, execute, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Initiative and attention to detail.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving with good decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manage multidisciplinary wind, solar, energy storage, and other renewable energy projects, including feasibility studies, technical designs, and technical due diligence projects.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to successfully complete projects.
  • Research, develop, and maintain client relationships.
  • Evaluate project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Continuously utilize and develop leadership skills.
  • Support project management processes, including opening, closing, and quality assurance processes.
  • Track change requests to ensure regular follow-up.
  • Be involved in project management and control, including cost and schedule management.
  • Travel occasionally for project meetings, site assessments, training, and other purposes.
