German Teacher in Detroit, Michigan
About The Position
Global LT is hiring a German Language Teacher to provide customized, in-person lessons to an adult beginner in Detroit, Michigan. The student is preparing for a two-year work assignment in Munich and wants to learn everyday communication and how to communicate with colleagues respectfully and effectively. Lessons are preferred face-to-face, once per week for one hour, with availability Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday between 4:00 and 8:00 p.m. Eastern. The preferred start date is ASAP. The location is near the former Tiger’s Stadium/The Corner Ballpark, at 1680 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48216. The student is a native English speaker who also speaks Spanish and is interested in traveling, cooking, shopping, dining out, and visiting coffee shops.
Requirements
- Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in German.
- A certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field.
- At least two years of teaching experience.
