About The Position
Language Trainers is seeking a freelance German teacher for a beginner student in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC, Canada. The course is general German, one-to-one format, with a total of 20 hours. Each session will be two hours long and held at a public location near the student's residence. The student is between 18-24 years old and is motivated by living in Germany. The schedule is three times per week: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm. The position starts on July 13, 2026. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability, and the hourly rate is negotiable.
Requirements
- Native German speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
- Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
- Have a valid work permit/visa.
- Live within 30 km of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC.
- Meet the stated conditions for application.
Responsibilities
- Provide customized German language training to a beginner student.
- Conduct one-to-one, two-hour sessions.
- Teach general German.
- Meet the student at a public location within 5 minutes of their residence in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC J2W.
- Adhere to the schedule of 3 times per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, 10:00 am-12:00 pm), with potential flexibility.
