About The Position

DATAMARK, Inc. is seeking a professional and experienced German-English Bilingual Medical Interpreter to facilitate communication between patients and healthcare providers in medical settings. The role includes interpreting medical conversations and assisting with the translation of medical documents and forms. The interpreter must maintain confidentiality, follow professional and ethical standards, stay current on medical terminology and procedures, and build rapport and trust with patients and healthcare professionals. This is a remote work-from-home position with specified computer, connectivity, audio, and camera requirements. Work must be performed from an approved location using a wired Ethernet connection; VPN use is not allowed. Company information must not be stored, and recording, screenshotting, and built-in translation features are prohibited.

Requirements

Fluency in spoken and written English and German.
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology and procedures.
Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to adapt to different dialects and accents.
Strong listening and comprehension skills.

Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
Computer with an Intel Core i5 processor (8th generation or newer) or Ryzen 5 (3000 series or higher), at least 4 cores / 8 threads, 8–16 GB RAM, and a 256 GB SSD or larger.
Wired Ethernet connection; VPN use is not allowed, and work must be performed from an approved location.
Wired headset with a boom microphone that is unidirectional and noise-canceling; wireless devices, earbuds, and speakers are not allowed.
1080p camera at 30–60 fps with autofocus, built-in or equivalent external camera.
Must not store company information, make recordings, take screenshots, or use built-in translation features.
