About The Position

Ascension Living PACE Michigan is seeking a full-time Geriatrics Physician in Flint, Michigan. The position is employed within a nonprofit health system and joins an established team of two other physicians and three APPs, with a 1:6 call structure. Most work is in the outpatient clinic, with the ability to round on patients as needed in local hospitals and occasional home visits.

The Program for All Inclusive Care (PACE) is an alternative to nursing home care. An interdisciplinary team coordinates and provides preventive, primary, acute, and long-term care so older adults can continue living in the community. Requirements

• MD or DO required prior to the hire date or job transfer date.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine required.
• Eligible for a state medical license and DEA registration.

Nice To Haves

• Geriatrics fellowship preferred.
• Advanced Life Support certification preferred; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient care to PACE patients.
• Round on patients in local hospitals as needed.
• Make home visits occasionally when necessary.
• Participate in the 1:6 call structure.
• Coordinate and provide preventive, primary, acute, and long-term care as part of an interdisciplinary PACE team.
