About The Position

Certerra is seeking an experienced Geotechnical/Materials Project Manager to support its operations in Lenexa, Kansas. The role supports geotechnical and materials testing projects through field investigations, testing and inspections, project and site management, and coordination of technical work. The Project Manager also supports staff training, proposal preparation, office quality policies, client communication, and effective coordination of workloads and project needs.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, or Construction Management.
Experience with plan reading or actual construction.
Experience with reporting software.
Knowledge of building codes.

Responsibilities

Support field investigations for geotechnical/materials testing projects.
Perform testing and inspections in the field.
Train junior field staff.
Prepare materials testing proposals.
Assist with maintaining the office quality program and policies.
Provide project and site management to help ensure worksite and project safety.
Coordinate technical aspects of projects with other staff.
Review field testing reports.
Maintain positive working relationships with team members and collaborate with them on projects.
Collaborate with Certerra management and other teams to prioritize projects, workloads, and needs.
Work with clients to ensure projects meet their goals and needs, and communicate necessary adjustments to management, teams, and owners.
Work within a team to resolve internal conflicts and avoid escalation of issues.
Engage in appropriate professional development to enhance performance.
Model appropriate professional standards.
