About The Position

Praescient Analytics is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Persistent GEOINT Data Scientist to support the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) on-site at Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, Colorado. The role applies advanced statistical modeling, machine learning, and scalable data engineering techniques to Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) and persistent sensor datasets. The scientist works with intelligence analysts, operational stakeholders, and engineering teams to turn raw sensor feeds into interactive dashboards, automated pipelines, and actionable intelligence products. Praescient Analytics provides advanced analytics, intelligence training, and technology integration for security challenges. It is a Certified Woman-Owned Small Business that has supported more than 40 organizations since 2011 in areas including military intelligence, financial and fraud investigations, and insider threat detection.

  • Proficiency in Python and/or R, and SQL for complex querying and relational database management.
  • Grounding in statistical inference, quantitative methodology, predictive modeling, and large-scale data analysis.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance; a polygraph may be required under customer guidelines.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be subject to a government security investigation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with OPIR, persistent surveillance, and complex vector geospatial data formats.
  • Proficiency with visualization frameworks and business intelligence tools such as Plotly, Dash, Streamlit, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Experience with machine-learning libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, or XGBoost for classification, clustering, and predictive workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and distributed big-data environments such as Apache Spark, Hadoop, or Databricks.
  • Familiarity with defense, intelligence community, or joint space operations center environments.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy interactive analytical dashboards and visual exploitation tools for OPIR and persistent data characterization and assessments.
  • Architect automated ETL pipelines, data quality assurance checks, and anomaly detection algorithms to process and validate persistent sensor streams.
  • Apply statistical modeling, machine learning, and predictive analytics to persistent sensor datasets, particularly OPIR and vector data formats, to identify patterns and operational insights.
  • Establish baseline metrics, KPIs, and performance assessment tools to evaluate sensor system health and tracking capabilities.
  • Provide technical briefings, analytical readouts, user training, and operational support to end-users and mission partners.
  • Author and maintain technical documentation, pipeline architecture diagrams, user guides, and standard operating procedures.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.
  • Company-paid healthcare, including premiums and deductibles.
