About The Position

Dominion Energy is seeking an experienced Generation Project Manager to join their Nuclear Project Team. This role will focus on the planning and execution of fleet-level strategic nuclear projects supporting long-term generation strategy. The company is investing significantly in upgrading equipment at its four nuclear power stations, requiring exceptional project management for these large-scale and complex improvements. The Project Manager will be responsible for early-phase scope development, cost estimating, scheduling, risk management, regulatory and contract review, data management, stakeholder reporting, vendor management, and the creation/implementation of project management tools and technology. The role also involves implementing project processes, policies, and best practices to enhance fleetwide performance and consistency, and fostering productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders including engineering, licensing, operations, procurement, and vendors.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) or more years of work experience related to construction, engineering, business management, or project management
  • Three (3) or more years of demonstrated experience directly related to project management
  • Demonstrated success in developing and managing project performance to ensure results meet project requirements and schedules
  • Strong team building skills, demonstrated skill and ability in effectively leading teams to achieve project goals and milestones
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including interpersonal, facilitation, and presentation capabilities
  • Ability to coordinate the resolution of technical problems and implement changes
  • Ability to work and develop rapport with all levels of management and staff
  • Ability to represent the project and the company in public forums

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Engineering, or Engineering Technology
  • Prior experience in the nuclear power industry
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
