Responsibilities

• Participate in daily activities and operations of the Mount Juliet Distribution Warehouse.
• Select and process materials and cartons, and pick and fill customer orders from multi-level rack storage systems.
• Verify the quantity, quality, and labeling of outgoing goods and ensure orders are packed to customer specifications.
• Pack orders according to customer shipping instructions, apply shipping labels, and document carton counts for outgoing LTL and truckload shipments.
• Prioritize orders according to customers’ expected ship dates.
• Communicate with the department supervisor, crew leader, and office personnel to support accurate and timely shipments.
• When necessary, use a computer and SAP Warehouse Management to pack customer orders.
• Scan and weigh each carton and apply shipping labels.
• Operate manual pallet jack equipment to move products safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
• Handle routine shipping department needs and identify and maintain necessary equipment, tools, and supplies.
• Inspect equipment, complete daily checklists, and communicate deficiencies to supervision.
• Meet production efficiency levels while maintaining work quality and accuracy.
• Train new associates on shipping tasks.
• Sweep and maintain a clean and safe work environment, and report unsafe work conditions.
• Work independently and as part of a team, help in other departments, and work overtime when necessary.
• Work scheduled shifts consistently and arrive on time in accordance with the company attendance policy.
• Perform other duties as required.
