About The Position

The General Warehouse Worker handles merchandise accurately and efficiently into and out of the warehouse facility. Duties are performed within an assigned area of warehouse operations, while supporting other warehouse areas as needed. This Reach Driver position uses a Crown and/or Raymond reach lift. Experience is preferred.

Requirements

Communication skills sufficient to communicate with co-workers, understand and provide directions, respond to management inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Basic knowledge of simple math concepts.
Ability to use a Radio Frequency Unit.
Ability to learn basic knowledge of the use and operation of motorized merchandise movement equipment.
Ability to maintain annual certification requirements.

Nice To Haves

Experience with a Crown and/or Raymond Reach Lift.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience working in an automated distribution center.
Experience with warehouse management systems applications.

Responsibilities

Move incoming or outgoing merchandise throughout the distribution center by hand, hand truck, or forklift equipment.
Check, verify, and audit merchandise to ensure orders are received as expected and merchandise is not damaged or defective; enter data into a remote data terminal.
Identify, separate, label, and palletize merchandise onto flats.
Replenish pick areas based on replenishment reports and requests for merchandise.
Fill store merchandise orders by selecting and moving merchandise from pick slots to conveyors.
Load outgoing merchandise from conveyors and/or four-wheel trucks into trailers.
Report damages and vendor compliance issues to a supervisor.
Work with a supervisor to resolve problems or discrepancies.
Meet safety, productivity, and quality standards.
Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
