About The Position

Five Below is hiring for a seasonal warehouse position focused on picking. The associate may also be asked to perform duties as a container unloader, shipping divert worker, or other warehouse roles. The position involves handling, moving, storing, picking, and preparing merchandise for shipment while operating equipment safely and maintaining an orderly facility. The starting pay is $17.50 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; calculator use is helpful.
• Ability to understand and follow written or oral instructions using common sense.
• Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently while following prescribed work methods.
• Ability to work flexible hours and alternate shifts for extended periods with limited notice.
• Ability to stand, stoop, lift, and perform manual dexterity tasks.
• Ability to lift boxes weighing up to 50 pounds and remain on one's feet for the entire shift.
• Ability to ascend staircases and perform standing work on an elevated platform.
• Ability to work in cold temperatures during winter and hot temperatures during summer.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of warehouse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload shipments safely and move products to assigned locations or containers.
• Stack and store merchandise in appropriate areas.
• Pick store orders for shipment and ensure the correct quantity and type of product are loaded and shipped.
• Place boxes on pallets or conveyor belts.
• Pick freight from pallets using pick labels.
• Stack pallets with product from shipping divert lanes.
• Build and shrink-wrap pallets.
• Move pallets using a pallet jack.
• Use an RF gun for picking, receiving, put-away, replenishment, and loading functions as required.
• Maintain facility equipment and materials in a neat, clean, and orderly manner.
• Perform additional duties and support other departments as needed.
