About The Position
The General Warehouse Associate works in the HomeGoods Distribution Center in Bloomfield, Connecticut. Associates are assigned to a department and supervisor but may work in another area as needed. The position involves handling, sorting, ticketing, packing, and unpacking merchandise and other items. The listed pay is $18.25 per hour, with additional shift differentials for some schedules. Available shifts are A Shift, Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM; B Shift, Friday–Sunday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM, with a $1.80 hourly shift differential; and C Shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM–2:00 AM, with a $1.45 hourly shift differential. Responsibilities
- Count, select, and sort totes, boxes, merchandise, or other assigned items.
- Match receipts against purchase orders.
- Ticket merchandise or other items using gum labels, a ticketing gun, or pin tickets.
- Pack or unpack merchandise.
- Seal boxes for shipping after packing is completed.
- Handle totes, boxes, garments, or other items manually, including loads up to 10 pounds constantly, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 60 pounds occasionally.
- Work in another area of the distribution center when needed.
