About The Position

Works in multiple departments within a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. Operates material handling equipment to move inventory within the facility. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m. to 6:45 p.m., with overtime as needed. No travel is required.

This position works under general supervision and exercises some judgment within well-defined policies, procedures, and techniques. Work is regularly reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor, and complex or unusual problems are referred to a supervisor. The work environment may involve temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, creating noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness. Physical requirements include lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, standing for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes, and repetitive movements such as bending or squatting.

Requirements

• Generally 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes.
• Ability to make repetitive movements, such as bending or squatting.
• A high school diploma or GED is strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training or certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping pallets.
• Examine and inspect stock items for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean working environment in accordance with company safety policies.
• Perform inventory control functions as needed.
• Refer complex or unusual problems to a supervisor.
