About The Position

Works in multiple departments within a distribution center, including case pick, shipping, receiving, returns, loading, order processing, and replenishment. Operates material handling equipment to move inventory within the facility. The position works under general supervision and applies judgment within established policies, procedures, and techniques; output is regularly reviewed by a senior coworker or supervisor. Complex or unusual problems are referred to a supervisor. No travel is required.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds; walk, move, push, and pull products throughout the day.
• Ability to stand for periods of up to and exceeding 60 minutes and perform repetitive movements, including bending or squatting.
• Willingness to train to operate an order/cherry picker, reach truck, clamp, or similar equipment.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English to safely and accurately perform daily warehouse operations.
• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Specialized skills training or certification may be required.
• Generally 2–5 years of experience in the area of responsibility.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in picking, slotting, and replenishment.
• Previous experience operating material handling equipment, including an order/cherry picker, reach truck, clamp, or electric pallet jack.

Responsibilities

• Use material handling equipment to locate and deliver products, supplies, and equipment to designated areas.
• Assist with staging and loading orders into trucks for customer delivery.
• Verify the quantity and quality of incoming products from vendors and distribution centers.
• Use packing list information to collect items for customer orders, including building and wrapping product pallets.
• Inspect stock items for wear and defects and notify management of inventory issues.
• Return misplaced products to proper storage areas.
• Maintain a clean work environment in accordance with company safety policies.
• Perform inventory control functions as needed.
