About The Position

We are seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Anatomic & Clinical Pathologist to join a well-established pathology practice serving a large regional healthcare system in South Texas. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative team providing high-quality diagnostic services across a broad spectrum of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in general surgical pathology, frozen sections, and clinical pathology while working closely with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver exceptional patient care. This position is based within a large regional acute care medical center that serves as a referral hub for South Texas. The hospital provides advanced specialty services including trauma care, neuroscience, minimally invasive and robotic surgery, cardiovascular services, women's health, pediatric care, stroke care, and intensive care. The pathology practice supports a diverse range of surgical pathology cases while collaborating with physicians across numerous specialties in a high-volume, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology (AP/CP)
  • Strong proficiency in General Surgical Pathology
  • Strong proficiency in Clinical pathology interpretations
  • Strong proficiency in Frozen section procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with physicians, laboratory professionals, and hospital staff
  • Active Texas Medical License or eligibility to obtain one

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality diagnostic services across a broad spectrum of Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
  • Work closely with physicians and multidisciplinary care teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
  • Perform general surgical pathology.
  • Perform frozen section procedures.
  • Perform clinical pathology interpretations.
  • Collaborate with physicians across numerous specialties in a high-volume, multidisciplinary environment.
