About The Position

General Surgeon Physician Nevada Regional Medical Center is seeking a dedicated General Surgeon to join our team at a rural, community-focused hospital serving a population of approximately 20,000. This position offers the opportunity to provide a broad range of surgical services while making a meaningful impact in an underserved rural community. About the Practice: Broad-based general surgery practice, inpatient and outpatient surgical care, evaluation and treatment of common general surgery conditions, routine and complex general surgical procedures, and endoscopy services, including colonoscopies and upper endoscopies. Opportunity to build and grow an established patient panel in a collaborative care environment with experienced nursing and surgical staff. Hospital & Community: 71-bed rural community hospital with operating rooms and surgical services available on-site. Emergency Department and inpatient services are available for support. The next closest major medical facilities are located more than 60 miles away. This is an ideal setting for physicians who value continuity of care and strong community relationships. Clinical Support & Resources: Dedicated operating room and nursing teams, anesthesia services available, and on-call specialty coverage (though not available 24/7). Strong transfer relationships exist for patients requiring a higher level of care. There is a collaborative medical staff and supportive administration, with an opportunity to help strengthen and expand local surgical services.

Requirements

• MD or DO eligible for Missouri medical licensure
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery
• Completion of an accredited general surgery residency program
• Current general surgical skills and procedural competency
• ACLS and BLS certifications required, or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable practicing in a rural setting with a broad scope of care

Responsibilities
