About The Position
We are seeking a General Surgeon for a Locum Tenens position in Pittsburg, KS. This role involves providing on-call coverage for general surgery cases, including emergencies and trauma. The position includes clinical duties approximately 3 days per month (8-hour shifts) and elective surgical cases up to 2 days per month as volumes require. The surgeon will also manage inpatient consultations and rounding for both admitted and post-operative patients, collaborating with facility nursing and support staff to ensure continuity of care. The coverage period is ASAP through December 31, 2026.
Requirements
- Board Certified (BC) required
- KS license or IMLC
- BLS certification
- Hospital Privileges Required
- General Surgery procedures
- Laparoscopic Surgery procedures
- GI endoscopy procedures
Responsibilities
