About The Position

Essentia Health is seeking a General Surgeon to join three established General Surgeons and one Advanced Practice Clinician in a physician-led, integrated health system group practice in Brainerd, Minnesota. The practice has a Da Vinci Robot program and provides bread-and-butter general surgery and endoscopy-related care, which makes up approximately 25% of the practice. It is supported by a specialty care facility, a Level III trauma hospital, a 24/7 in-house Hospitalist Program, and a stable, supportive nursing staff. The group uses the EPIC medical record and offers potential ownership in an Ambulatory Surgery Center. The position includes a 1:4 call rotation and a four-day work week with 36 patient-contact hours. Flexible FTE arrangements from 0.7 to 1.0 are considered. The listed compensation is $538,230; hired candidates may also be eligible for bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation. The Brainerd Lakes area is approximately 125 miles north of Minneapolis–St. Paul and offers outdoor and recreational activities.

Requirements

Board certified or board eligible in General Surgery.
Endoscopy experience or capability.
ATLS qualification.

Robotic surgery experience is desired.
