Requirements

  • MD or equivalent.
  • Completion of an accredited general surgery training program.
  • Additional fellowship training concentrated in breast oncology.
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada or equivalent.
  • Eligibility for licensure in the Province of Ontario.
  • Demonstrated clinical excellence.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

  • Join a supportive team of 14 general surgeons with expertise in various subspecialties.
  • Provide surgical care with a subspecialty focus on breast surgery.
  • Assist the Division of General Surgery with teaching commitments.
  • Apply for an academic appointment in the Department of Surgery, Temerty Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto.
  • Participate in clinical program development, innovation, teaching, community outreach, and research.
  • Work within a dedicated breast centre with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Utilize modern technologies and techniques in breast cancer treatment, including radioactive seed localization.
  • Manage elective OR time, clinic, and on-call responsibilities.
