About The Position

National Wound Physician Group is hiring a General Surgeon to provide bedside wound management in post-acute care settings, including skilled nursing facilities and long-term acute care hospitals. Physicians conduct weekly wound rounds at each facility, typically visiting two to three facilities and treating approximately 20–30 patients per day. The mobile practice covers facilities within a 40–60-mile radius of the practice location. Clinical documentation is completed in real time at the point of care using a proprietary wound-specific EMR. The role offers full-time or part-time schedules, with full-time physicians working four to five days per week and part-time physicians committing to at least three weekdays per week. The stated full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. There are no nights, on-call duties, or weekend clinical responsibilities. Paid onboarding training and a six-month wound care fellowship are provided. Physicians learn from wound-certified physician trainers and fellowship directors and use current wound care technologies and modalities. The position is W-2 employment; work visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

Hold a full, active, unrestricted MD or DO medical license in the state where the physician will practice.
Commit to at least three weekdays per week, Monday through Friday.
