About The Position
SAMGI is seeking a motivated General Surgeon with an interest in Acute Care Surgery and Trauma to join their team. This is a full-time benefited position requiring 104 shifts annually, offering a significant amount of time off (200+ days annually). The schedule is planned three months in advance around the physician's availability. The role is supported by experienced surgeons and well-trained Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners. Additionally, there is access to a comfortable residential house minutes away from the hospital while on shift.
Requirements
- CA License
- BC/BE in General Surgery
- Experienced With Acute Care Surgery and Trauma
- Strong Communication Skills Combined with High Patient Satisfaction Scores
Responsibilities
- Provide General Surgery services with a focus on Acute Care Surgery and Trauma.
- Collaborate with a team of experienced surgeons and PAs/NPs.
- Manage patient care to achieve great patient outcomes with state-of-the-art medicine.
- Contribute to developing local surgical practices.
